Unity Bridge Foundation is a 501(c)3 recognized organization dedicated to providing a holistic array of services for our communities. We are based in both Nash and Edgecombe counties of North Carolina. We were formed in 2015 by visionaries Christopher and Melony Avent. They watched in horror as trends consistently showed high crime and poverty rates rise in the city they love. They watched as the community cried for help as traditional services left a gap many families fell through. They reached out to community leaders and went out into the neighborhoods to find out what the people needed. One community leader commented to Chris "If we only had that bridge to connect Community Services to Families, or Educational services to the families that need them we would have a chance" and Unity Bridge Foundation was born. Adopting the Mission "Bridging the gap between community, family, and education" we set out to become that bridge the community needed. We gave computers to families in need complete with discounted internet service to assist adults with job searches and children with school work. We offer résumé development services, tutoring services to children who struggled in school as well as other services. Shortly after others joined our cause and volunteered their time to help those who need it.

We have partnered with service providers such as the Department of Social Services and Century Link to provide these services.

We have our Summer and After School tutoring camp planned for the Summer of 2020 as well as our Teacher's Pantry scheduled to start by January 2019 and will provide additional meals and supplies to the homeless.
